Kinematic Viscosity Bath

Make: EIE Instruments PVT. LTD.
Model: 410AADP04
Purpose:
Used to determine the viscosity of oils and fuel, above room temperature up to a maximum of 120 °C. Generally used @ 40°C but can also be used at any other temperature between measuring range. Can also be used for other application where full visibility of sample and constant temperature is important for the test.
Oil Testing Centrifuges

Make: Eltek
Model: SC6100M
Purpose:
The Oil Test Centrifuge is a microprocessor controlled, heated centrifuge which is specifically designed to meet oïl test parameters for determining sediment and water in Lubricating oil & crude oïl.
The water and sediment content of fuel oils is significant because it can cause corrosion of equipment and problems in processing. A determination of water and sediment content is required to measure accurately net volumes of actual fuel oil in sales, taxation, exchanges and custody transfers.
Copper Strip Corrosion Test Apparatus
Make: Rasayan
Purpose:
The Copper Strip Tarnish Test assesses the relative degree of corrosivity of petroleum products, including fuels, diesel fuel, distillate fuel oil, lubricating oil and other products. A polished copper strip is immersed in 30mL of sample at elevated temperature. After the test period, the strip is examined for evidence of corrosion and a classification number from 1-4 is assigned based on a comparison with the ASTM Copper Strip Corrosion Standards.

Abel Flash Point Apparatus
Make: EIE Instruments PVT. LTD.
Model: EIE-PTLT-103DM
Purpose:
Used for determination of the closed cup Flash Point of Petroleum products, their mixtures, other liquids and paints having flash point below 70°C.

Aniline Point Apparatus
Purpose:
These test methods cover the determination of the aniline point of petroleum products and hydrocarbon solvents.
Method A is suitable for transparent samples with an initial boiling point above room temperature and where the aniline point is below the bubble point and above the solidification point of the aniline sample mixture.
Sediment By Extraction Apparatus
Make: EIE Instruments PVT. LTD.
Purpose:
Determines sediment content of crude oil and fuel oils by extraction with toluene. The sample is placed in a refractory thimble and washed with condensed toluene vapours leaving only insoluble matter, the residue is calculated as a percentage of the total mass.

Petroleum Distillation Apparatus

Make: EIE Instruments PVT. LTD.
Purpose:
This apparatus is used for determinations of distillation characteristics of petroleum products.
Dean & Stark Apparatus

Purpose:
This apparatus is for estimation of moisture in lubricating oil .
Bomb Calorimeter
Make: Local Make
Purpose:
It is used for determination of calorific value of liquid & Solid fuels.

Cleaveland Flash Point Apparatus

Make: EIE Instruments PVT. LTD.
Model: EIE-PTLT-102DM
Purpose:
This apparatus is used for determination of Flash Point of petroleum products except fuel oil with open flash above 80°C. Flash point is used in shipping and safety regulations to define flammable and combustible materials. Flash point can indicate the possible presence of highly volatile and flammable materials in a relatively nonvolatile or nonflammable material. The flash point is one measure of the tendency of the test specimen to form a flammable mixture with air under controlled laboratory conditions.
Carbon Residue Test Apparatus
Make: EIE Instruments PVT. LTD.
Model: EIE-PTLT-112RB
Purpose:
This test method covers the determination of the amount of carbon residue left after evaporation and pyrolysis of an oil, and is intended to provide some indication of relative coke‑forming propensity.

Automatic Potentiometric Titrator

Make: Lab India
Model: Titra+ (KHT)
Purpose:
Perform all types of titrations including Acid- Base, Non-aqueous, Redox, Complexometric, Precipitation as well as pH STAT Titrations. Can be used as a simple pH meter with display of pH, mV and temperature values.
Karl Fisher Volumetric Titrator
Make: Microprocessor
Model: 1760
Purpose:
This titrator analyses the moisture concentration of liquid samples, powder, fine particles and fiber samples that are soluble in alcohol or solvents. The moisture content is displayed in ppm, %age and mg H2O.

Hot Air Oven

Make: Rasayan
Model: R018A
Purpose:
This instrument covers the determination of Total moisture in solid fuel. It is useful for Dry heat sterilization is accomplished through conduction.
Muffle Furnace

Make: Rasayan
Purpose:
This instrument covers the determination of ash & sulphated ash from distillate and residual fuels, gas turbine fuels, crude oils, lubricating oils, solid fuels, and other petroleum products, in which any ash-forming materials present are normally considered to be undesirable impurities or contaminants. The test method is limited to petroleum products which are free from added ash-forming additives, including certain phosphorus compounds.
Weighing Balance

Make: Scale Tec
Model: SAB 265DR
Purpose:
A weighing balance is an instrument that is used to determine the weight or mass of an object. Precision and analytical balances are specific types of weighing balances which measure much smaller masses than the average scale. An analytical balance is the most precise because it has a higher readability, measuring to the nearest 0.0001g. Analytical balances usually include draught proof weighing chambers for precise measuring of mass and are often used alongside anti-vibration tables to increase accuracy.
Breakdown Voltage Apparatus
Make: UDEYRAJ & SONS
Model: S 1248 83
Purpose:
A determining the dielectric breakdown voltage if insulating liquids at power frequency. The test portion, contained in a specified apparatus, is subjected to an increasing a.c. electrical field by means of a constant rate of voltage rise until breakdown occurs.
Cloud Point and Pour Point Apparatus

Make: Local make
Purpose:
Cloud point and pour point are indicators of the lowest temperature of utility for petroleum products. The sample is periodically examined while it is being cooled in the cloud and pour point apparatus. The highest temperature at which haziness is observed (cloud point), or the lowest temperature at which movement of the oil is observed (pour point), is reported as the test result.
